“Just for the fun of it”

LUNCH DATE: 3rd TUESDAY, JANUARY 21, AT 11:30 AM

SEASCAPE GOLF COURSE MONARCH ROOM

BIG SIR MESSAGE: RICK POWERS  “THE ROSTER’S CACA-DOODLE-DOO”

Happy New Year Everyone. As Mr. Spock would say . . . “Live long and prosper”

Your BEC and l are looking forward to another fun year. We continue to defy the State SIR curve and trend . . . our branch is growing. Keep up the good work guys, continue to invite your friends.

Closing out 2024, I would like to thank and offer special recognition to our Speaker Committee, aptly assisted by the volunteer work of Doug Deaver, for a job well done. Special thanks also needs to be extended for all the effort and behind the scenes work of Joel Dedrick. It is his dedication that has led to the deciphering and debugging of the Seascape audio-visual issues. I truly believe he has discovered aspects of the system that even Seascape was unaware of. . . Good job, Joel.

Our menu choices for the January 21st luncheon meeting will be Chicken Castroville, Grilled Salmon Salad, or Western Veggie Salad.

Again, our Speaker Committee has lined up an interesting presentation. Joel Dedrick will be giving the program on the “Burning Man” and Black Rock City annual event held in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada . . . Live action coverage, (or un-coverage) at 1:00 pm . . .

Again, a reminder, please stay seated until the meeting is officially over . . . Bugs Bunny won’t let you forget.

Rick

LUNCHEON PROGRAM: Joel Dedrick

Joel Dedrick, a fellow SIR Member of our branch, will be guest speaker presenting an audiovisual spectacle of his experiences at Burning Man.  He guarantees you’ll see things you’ve never seen before!…a very interesting view of the 2024 Burning Man Festival.
