I found a pickle ball court sponsored by the San Jose Pickle Ball club that set up their pickleball nets on 6 courts at Paul More Park. They also sponsor pickle ball at Canoas Park and Edenvale Park.  Paul More park is located at Hillsdale Ave. and Cherry Ave. in San Jose. They play on Thursdays from 5:00PM to about 10:00 PM.  They are friendly and give instructions to beginners. A lot of people show up in the evenings. They rotate 4 players onto the court after each opposing team wins their court. With six courts you can rotate in about every 15 or 20 minutes. They stack 4 pickleball paddles up on a board in consecutive rows when your stack of 4 paddles comes up it is your teams turn to rotate onto an open court.

I recommend watching how to Pickleball videos before going to the courts. It will teach you the basics on how to play and keep score. It will give you some pointers on how to hit the ball and where to position yourself on the court. It is a fun sport, great exercise and getting very popular. More courts are in the plans and are being built.

Some of the other courts at other parks are for more advanced players
