NEW ACTIVITY– PING-PONG PLUS
We are presenting a new Coed SIRS Ping Pong “Plus” activity. This activity will provide a place for members interested in a place to play ping pong, and other home outdoor mini-sports or games. Dave Smith is providing a large backyard and covered patio to accommodate all kinds of games including a small putting green. Ping pong is something that is normally played at senior centers, but it is very structured and serious. This new SIRS activity is envisioned as an alternative to that with a more relaxed atmosphere while still providing physical activity. Also, while not everyone may be able to play ping pong at the same time, others can play other games available such as corn hole or putting for example. We are hoping that participants can try other games that they might want to try and learn. If you have a game you like, bring it over and enjoy it with others. This casual setting can offer a few hours of fun, laughter and opportunity to grow friendships. It is recommended that players bring appropriate shoes (like tennis shoes) and attire. The games will be played outdoors, either covered or not, depending on the game and/or the weather. Ping Pong Plus will occur the first Thursday. of each month from 1 to 3 p.m. With an acre, there is plenty of room for whatever game you wish to play. We are hoping it will be like a small family get together- once a month. This is open to anyone. This activity will take place at the home of Dave Smith. Contact Dave to express your interest and he will give you the address and tell you more about the activities. Dave Smith, Chair Ping Pong Plus, smith333@comcast.net 408-226-1238
