Overview:

The Photography Club has recently come back after a hiatus.  We have a small list of members so far and are hoping to grow as people become interested in our activities.

Photography is a very diverse topic.  We have individuals in the club that have done extensive work with film cameras.  Even large format ones.  Right now, the main interest seems to be digital single lens reflex units as well as the new mirrorless variety.

There is also some interest in the use if iPhones or iPads.  These can be very powerful tools in certain circumstances.  For example street photography.  Keeping a low profile with an iPhone makes the photos less staged and more realistic.

Also another  common interest of the Photo Club is to explore photo editing tools.  LightRoom and Photoshop are some of the more common ones utilized.  Other simpler ones are also being considered.

More specific issues will also be examine as well.  The use of proper light in instance.  Photography is light.  The better you can control it, the better the picots will be.  This can be done by the use of natural light or artificial sources. The use of AI is also of interest.

Finally, one needs to consider subject.  Some of our current members are interested in landscapes.  Others, animal or plant life.  There is also interest in people as  subjects.

The club has started by meeting on-line to discuss tools and techniques.  We have also have our first field trip to take photos at a particular location and compare equipment and techniques.  A future activity will be to invite professional phototraphers to present on topics of interest to the club.

If you are interested in attending the next on-line meeting, please send an e-mail to the club chair, Jim Allen, at jamesjayallen72@gmail.com.
