Ladies Day Christmas Luncheon Report
Wednesday, December 20, we held the annual Christmas Luncheon at the Three Flames Restaurant. By all accounts, it was a big success. We served one-hundred and fifty-four (154) dinners to our members and significant others. Outgoing Big Sir, Rick Hausman, hosted the event, along with incoming Big Sir Tony Mazzucco and Past Big Sir, Jim LeBlanc. The number of attendees exceeded last year’s participants by thirty-three (33). The meals of salmon, chicken and steak were delivered quickly and were noted to be of good quality. A wine raffle was held, and pointsettias were distributed. Music was provided by Kim and Michael who played some Christmas Carols and other standard tunes.
As the coordinator for the sixth year, with one year being cancelled due to Covid, it has been my distinct pleasure to organize this event. It is not without the faithful support of a dedicated team of volunteers that this event happens annually without a hitch. The core of volunteers I would like to thank include:
Bruce Henry Galen and Janice Gipson Paul Gardner
Bernie Calahan Sue Saunders Gail and Jim Caratozzolo
Jim Sleigh Fred Boyce
They all received a poinsettia for their terrific support over the last six years. I appreciate each one of them greatly.
As coordinator, I will be stepping down at the point and leave the organization in the capable hands of Jim LeBlanc. I am positive he will continue this event and improve it. Again, thank you all.
