The ride will be on Friday June 28th

(the last Friday of the month)

We can carpool to San Francisco from the usual place at the Cambrian Shopping Plaza at the carousel sign. Meet at 8:00AM leave at 8:15AM. My truck can carry 5 bikes and 5 riders.

DESCRIPTION  The ride will start at 10:00AM at Crissy Field. Located at 603 Mason St, SF.

We will ride across the Golden Gate Bridge to the Sausalito Ferry terminal Kiosk and buy our one way Golden Gate ferry tickets for $7.00 with a credit card from Tiburon to SF Ferry Building. We will ride along the waterfront threw parks, marsh lands, the Marin houseboat community marinas and quiet neighborhood streets. We will avoid busy streets to the Tiburon Angle Island Ferry and the Golden Gate Ferry boat terminal. Once there we can have a light lunch. Our ferry leaves for Angle Island at 1:00 PM.. We will travel around the historic island on the Perimeter Road for a distance of about 6 miles. The views around the island are spectacular. We will have plenty of time to explore the island. The ferry returns to Tiburon at 3:20PM. When docked we can lock up the bikes and have dinner at Sam’s Seafood on the deck watching our bikes and the boats in the harbor. Our ferry leaves for the SF Ferry build at 5:50PM. It is a 30 min. ferry ride with great views of the bay. From the SF Ferry build we will ride past pier 39 , Fisherman’s Wharf and along the waterfront back to Crissy Field. We should be back at Crissy Field by 7:30PM and be back at the Cambrian Shopping Plaza in SJ about 8:30PM.

DISTANCE  The ride will be 15 miles from Crissy Field to Tiburon, 6 miles around Angle Island and about 5 miles from SF Ferry Building back to Crissy Field. The ride will be about 26 miles with lunch, dinner, pictures and 3 ferry rides along the way.

Dress to undress. It could be cold and breezy. Bring a helmet, sunscreen, water. sun glasses, gloves and backpacks. I will provide a first aid kit.

I need to buy the round trip tickets to Angle Island ahead of time by June 18th. The ticket fair is $18.00 round trip per person with a bike.

I recommend electric bikes only, because of elevation gains in Tiburon, Belvedere and Angle Island.

Please RSVP by Tuesday June 18th to Fred Jones, your Bike Chairman/Coordinator
