Membership in the Area 18 Golf Club is limited to active members in good standing of SIR Branches 103, 143, and 144 who are also active members of the Northern California Golf Association. Members who are dropped from active membership in their SIR Branch are also dropped from active membership in NCGA, Area 18 Golf Club.

Rules to play weekly golf in Area 18 South Golf Club are as follows:

  • Golfers are required to sign-up for tournaments at their monthly luncheon.
  • Golfers are required to pay the tournament fee at the time of sign-up.
  • Preferred payment for the tournament is by check. (cash is accepted)
  • Golfers are required to have payment complete by Thursday 6:00 pm to be in the pairings.
  • Golfers who choose to be paired at the course will not have a choice of who to play with.
  • Just a note, some courses will limit tee times based on our count on Wed at 6:00 pm. This also includes carts.
  • Final pairings will be posted by 6:00 pm Friday.
  • All flights are determined by USGA handicap. (World Handicap System)
  • All play in tournaments is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf with the modification that Preferred Lies are always in effect.

 

Questions you may have:

  • You may request to play with your friend when you sign-up.
  • IF you need to cancel before your tee time, you will forfeit your prize money, unless you contact the Host or your Golf chairman.
  • If you need to cancel, your check will be destroyed.
  • If you paid in cash, the cash will be put in your account and paid back at the end of the year.

  • See your Golf Chairman if you have a guest. Guests will not play for prize money.
