Slowtrollers is a very active group. The members enjoy fishing and talking about it. They meet the first Monday of the month at 9:00 a.m. at the Moose Lodge, 205 S. Walton Avenue, Yuba City.

Slow Trollers fishing club had a great turn out at Collins Lake with 15 fishermen competing. Fishing for trout was tough with just one fish being caught, but it was a dandy! John Perkins caught a 6 pound 13 ounce lightening trout while fishing a Ned rig for bass! Sometimes it is your day! Needless to say, John took the big fish and the big bag on the trout side.

Bass fishing was better with several limits being brought to the scale. Jim Merrell landed a 2 pound 11 ounce spotted bass for the big bass. Pat Dilling had a great day casting an A-rig and a hula stick for a 5 fish limit weighing 8 pounds 4 ounces.
