GENTLEMEN:

It was a most beautiful day at Toiyabe golf course. Luckily, the forecast of strong winds, never happened.

In our best ball 4-some event, we had 10 teams, one team with a 2-some. I wan to apologize about playing form the SIERRA (BLUE) tees. These tees no longer exist. Toiyabe pulled an unexpected surprise on me and changed the score cards. We all finally ended up playing from the WHITE tees.

Looking at individual scores, we had “an outstanding amateur golfer” as a guest today, namely Steve Lynch. Steve shot a wonderful round of 68. Steve, you are welcome to join us anytime. Other outstanding scores today were from John Gerard, Steve Butts, Jim Cooper, David Scott, guest, Mike Baker and Joe Tomlin.

I thought the course played tough today; that’s because I struggled. The course was in great condition.The greens were great, however difficult to putt.

Please look at the attachment for the team results. It was incredible that so many teams tied. Thank you Ed Dworak for picking up the score cards after the round and bringing them to my home. Ed does tireless work posting all your scores and adjusts your scores as necessary.

Toiybe is waiting for you to test your skills and your nerves on Wednesday morning, July 8. Our first T-time is at 8:27 AM. We have 11 teams, 43 players, one opening, for our 4-man team, 1-best ball event. Your green fee and cart is $50.00.

Please wear your mask and practice social distancing. I will “pop” the score cards for each 4-some for your pick up at the pro shop. Please return you wining score card to the pro shop for pick up by Ed Dworak.

We will play from the SIERRA TEES, BLUE, 5522 YDS. MEN’S RATING 65.9/119.
