Silver Oak Club Championship August 31, 2020 Results PDF

GENTLEMEN:

It was a wonderful day at Silver Oak. Unfortunately several of our golfers had to cancel out due to various reasons.  We ended up with 45 players participating in our golf club championship.  I noticed that many of our low handicap golfers did not play up to par.  The only thing that I can think of must have been the smoke in their eyes.

In any case, a new club champion emerged . Joe Carmona, fired a wonderful round of 81, for a net 63, to take the club championship honor.  CONGRATULATION, JOE !

We had a guest, Phil Doss, who shot a gross score of 74 and net score of 62. WOW! Phil has his SIR application in process.

Our BBQ chicken luncheon was great!  The birthday cake that, Lila sneaked in, was a great hit. Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes. All of you made this a special day for me.

Thank you Silver Oak management and staff for hosting our group. Your effort to prepare for our tournament is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Sig

GENTLEMEN:

This is a special day for all of us to share this moment with our friends. We are so lucky in many ways, too numerous to mention. Most of all stay safe and abide by all golf course rules.

Monday, August 31, we will have a 8:30 AM SHOTGUN start at Silver Oak. We have 49 players, 13 groups. Play from the white tees.

Pay $50.00 for your green fee and BBQ when you arrive. See Tom Sawyer and Marshal McCurdy to donate $5.00 to our prize fund.

If you desire to ride in a cart by yourself, please inform the golf shop.

Our format of play is Individual Stroke Play. We are competing for our Club championship. The player with the lowest net score will be the winner. (trophy and prize)

Please play by the USGA rules. No moving of your ball , except unplayable lie, in the fairway or rough. Putt out completely when on the greens. “No Gimmes”. Most of all, do not put added pressure on yourself. Stay loose and enjoy the day with your friends. Laugh a little!

Let’s plan on finishing your round by 1:00 PM so all of us can enjoy a wonderful BBQ luncheon.

See you all there,

Sig
