GENTLEMEN!

WOW, WHAT A DAY! In our one best ball four-some event, we had 43 players, 11 teams. The competition was incredibly close.  Seldom do we see such performance. The weather was great and the gusty wind added to the challenge.

The golf course was surprisingly quite playable and with some course maintenance it should come back to one of our favorite course. I have a couple requests: Please make # 4 a par 5 again and put truck loads of

sand into the bunkers.

We had some individuals who shot the lights out.

1. Mike Parapid has been on a hot streak lately and fired a 74.  Super, Mike!

2. Nick Jannis manufactured a nice 76.

3. I was informed that Dave Nolte was on the green with his tee shot on # 17  par 4, 283 yards and got a birdie.

4. Sig Heidemann, on the same hole # 17, on the green with his tee shot,     5 feet from the pin and got an eagle.

What can I say, it sure was a great day to spend with your friends. Thank you Genoa Ranch staff for hosting our group today. The food and drinks from the bar were great!

We are planning to be back on August 16 for the Heidemann cup.

GENTLEMEN:

We are scheduled to start at 8:30 AM on the Genoa Ranch golf course. Our green fee and cart is $40.00. Our format of play will be a 4 man team, 1 best ball. Closest to the pin will be on 4 out of the 5 par threes. (two places) We have 45 players, three openings.

The golf course irrigation system has been repaired. However, it will take some time for the course to recover. The bunkers, basically, are unplayable.

The course now plays to a par 70. This is due to the # 4 hole playing to a par 3 instead of a par 5. We will all play the PURPLE tees. The slope rating will be 65.3/118, 5433 yards.

The bar will be open, however, the snack bar is closed. It will be a most beautiful day so make the best of it.
