GENTLEMEN:

We were treated with great muffins and coffee in the morning. It gave us a chance to relax and meet with friends before our assault on the course.  On a beautiful spring morning, Empire Ranch golf course was like an emerald in front of our eyes. Spring presents it selves with all kinds of wonders.

We had 37 players participating in our two men team, 1-best ball event. We promptly started at 9:00 AM and most of us finished within 4 1/2 hours. The course, surprisingly, was in good condition.

The competition was close as the results indicate.

I learned something.  I have been very lenient on players who are guests and who are just  joining us with no legitimate handicap.   If a guest cannot verify his handicap, I will allow no more than an 18 handicap – total. I feel that this is a fair approach to all of our players.

Thank you David La Fata and your staff for hosting our group today. We all enjoyed the great lunch! We shall return.
