Fellow Sir Golfers,
Greetings!   May you pipes be unfrozen.
Here’s the final read ’em and weep roster of our Tuesday, October 27, 2020, 10:AM  Shot gun individual golf competition at the beautiful Toiyabe Golf Club.  We have 11, four man teams vying for the coveted winner of the first ever 6 mulligan championship event known to Tahoe SIRS branch 160. Playing from the ‘WHITE TEES” 6,165 yards.
We will have two CTH’s.  One on # 7 and and a CTH on  # 17 paying two places each.  (Good Luck)
Please pay $40.00 in the club house.  Includes range balls.  Ask for them when you pay.
Then pay SIR Tom Sawyer $5.00 He’s always easy to find by his robust voice and aptitude in seeking laugher.  Please be ready to pay with either a five dollar bill or five one dollar bills.  Don’t show up with a hundred, fifty or twenty dollar bill asking for change.
Fellas, I have to tell you that you need to make this a priority.  Tom often times is being paid as we are leaving to our beginning holes.  This is not right.  Please consider that Tom might want to hit a few balls or putt a few before he plays too.  We are better than that.  I am asking Tom to shut down collection at minimum of 15 minutes before our tee time to allow him to warm up too.  This may seem harsh.  But, no more harsh than any of us having a complete disregard of another members privilege’s to be treated as you would want to be treated.  DON’T BE THAT GUY!  Please, pay first and then go warm up.
This is an individual stroke play event first ever of its kind.  3 mulligans on the first 9 hole and 3 mulligans on the back 9 holes.  Please be mindful of where you start and the mulligans you used.  These directions will be included on your foursomes score card.
1.  You can only use one (1) mulligan per holes. 3 mulligans front: 1-9 and 3 mulligans back 10-18.  You can not carry over mulligans from front to back.
2. You must tell all of your fellow players in your group that you are declaring a mulligan before hitting a mulligan.
3. You may use a mulligan on any shot you chose.  Including a putt.
4. Once you declare a mulligan: You’ve abandoned the previous shot.  Your previous shot can not be played or scored.  Nor can you call a ‘provisional ball’
5.  You must play your mulligan  from the same spot your previous (abandoned ball) was hit from.
6.  No provisional ball can be called or used when a mulligan ball is used.  You can not go see if your first shot is playable and then go back and play a mulligan.
7.  If you are out of mulligans you are then playing individual stroke play.  All USGA rules would then apply.
8.  You are not required to use any of your mulligans. But, when you do; Use them judiciously.
9.  Play quickly.  Don’t deliberate or ponder.  Play ready golf.
Please keep track of your mulligans.  As you may not start on hole one or 10.  Be strategic!  Use your mulligans wisely.  Good Luck and Play Well!  Dress warm and most of all ‘HAVE FUN’  I look forward to hearing your opinions of this format.  I hope to use several differing formats during this winter season.  Constructive criticism is always welcome.
