GENTLEMEN:
It was a beautiful, cool morning when 37 golfers teed it up and tried their best to break the course record. (for low score, not high score)
We had 7 – 4 some and 3 – 3 some in our 2 better balls event. We promptly started at 8:30 AM and most of us finished in 4 1/2 hours. (The Cooper 4-some played in 3 hours and 40 minutes)
The course played tough with high grass in the rough and washboard greens. The bunkers were unplayable.  All in all we had some frustration and plenty of laughs.
Thank you Carson Valley management and staff for hosting our group today. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot dogs and drinks. And thank you Lila for treating us with a wonderful cake to celebrate Jim Denney’s 92nd birthday.
Here is what happened: 2 better balls net total:
1. Smith/Tiongco/Beilstein/Steele – 123 -$48.00 – $12.00 each
