Pay for Lunch with Zelle
Beginning in August 2024, we are encouraging you to pay for lunch in advance with the Zelle feature
on your phone. It’s fast and easy to buy lunch 3-4 days early using your banking app on your
phone from the comfort of home. That means no more standing in long lines to make a lunch
payment or carrying the necessary cash!
You can also make a payment from your phone when you arrive at the Three Flames –
instructions and the payment address are featured on an easel mounted white board near the
entrance.
When a payment is made, an email message is automatically sent to the check in desk who will
have a lunch ticket ready for you – whether you pay at the restaurant or early from home. If you
need assistance making the payment, SIR members will be present in the entrance area to help
you.
Of course, should you choose to do so, you can still purchase a lunch ticket with CASH at the
check-in desk.
To use Zelle, please take the following steps:
- Open the banking app on your smart phone and go to the Zelle payment feature.
(You can also use the Zelle app, which will take you to your
individual banking app). - In the Zelle feature there is a tool to scan an OCR code,
which is included with this article. Scanning the code will
take you directly to the payment address for the SIR Lunch,
which is mzsirlunch@gmail.com. - If you don’t have the OCR code, you can simply key in the
payment address, which, again, is mzsirlunch@gmail.com. - Make the $25 payment and type in the month for which the
payment is made – i.e. SIR August Lunch - When you arrive at the restaurant, go to the Check-In Desk and pick up your lunch ticket
– all you need to do is give the check in person your name. - Once you begin using Zelle, you will see how easy and simple it is to make the payment. No
one can see the data on your phone or has any form of access to your bank account. The only
thing we know through the payment confirmation email that we receive is your name and a
payment confirmation reference number. You will probably receive either a text or email from
your bank confirming that a payment has been made. You can also see the payment on your
bank account statement.
If you make a payment and then do not attend the lunch, your payment will automatically carry
over to the following month – meaning, again, that all you have to do is appear at the Check-In
Table to collect your lunch ticket
