Description
This activity is a coed walking group along the Los Alamitos Creek. The Los Alamitos Trail is a paved, somewhat level, path that follows along the Los Alamitos Creek. The walk will be at your own pace along the creek path. We plan to walk the trail for about ½ hour one way and turn around and walk back for a total of 1 hour. This is a very beautiful walk through the trees, along a picturesque creek. Our walk will be open to members, family and friends. Note that this trail is great for persons just getting back into walking or coming off an injury. The trail has well-spaced benches for relaxing and enjoying the views.
Our plan is to start out walking on the 4th Thursday of the month with an option to expand in the future. This walk can also be easily split up into three groups for slow, medium, and fast walkers and expand in length, for future growth.
The Los Alamitos Creek Trail is located in the Almaden area at Camden Ave. and Mt. Forest Drive. There is a Los Alamitos Creek parking area for easy parking and access on the left. The trail is also designed for easy handicap access.
The first walk on Thursday April 24th at 9:00 AM.
