Description

This activity is a coed walking group along the Vasona Lake and Vasona Creek backwoods. This is a asphalt, flat, paved trail all the way. We walk by the beautiful Vasona Lake, along the wide pasture lands and the Billy Wildcat Train Station to the back woods going up to the back of Old Town Mall traversing the serene and peaceful Los Gatos Creek. The plan is to walk at a mid-pace to mild brisk rate. It takes 45 minutes each way for a total walk of 1 ½ hours. We have anywhere from 4 to 10 walkers each week.

Where:  Park at 281 Garden Hill Dr Los Gatos and walk down to the gate just on Garden Hill Dr closest to the dam.

When:  Every Monday

Time: Every Monday now at 9:20am we meet at the top of Vasona Dam in Los Gatos. Park at 281 Garden Hill Dr just off of Lark Avenue close to Hwy 17. Walk over to the gate just above the dam. This is our meeting spot.

We leave at 9:30am and walk 2.1 miles one way from the Vasona Dam to the back of Old Town Mall. We take a leisurely to mid pace. The walk is all level on paved asphalt. Then we walk back to where we started from.
