RIDE DESCRIPTION:    We started the ride at Shoreline Lake. John Cognetta was familiar with the Stevens Creek Trail and led us on the ride. We rode south through Shoreline Park  to the beautiful paved and forested Stevens Creek Trail. It was a little foggy at first and cleared up as we followed the wooded creek to Sleeper Park, along the way we traveled on a beautifully constructed metal switchback bridge taking us up and  over Central Expressway and rode back to Shoreline Park. It was about an 11 mile round trip ride. The time was about 11:30 AM. when back. We decided we will ride another 10 miles round trip before lunch. We traveled north along the slightly foggy San Francisco Bay Trail. We could see the receding  fogbank north of us. There was a thin wispy layer of fog on the bay lands. We were close to the Palo Alto Airport and single engine planes were flying around. The tide was out and the sandpipers were feeding in the mud. The Geese lined the banks. They didn’t seem to mind us riding by.

We had lunch at the beautiful Michaels Club House covered patio looking out at the pond and fountains. It was a Great ride, Great lunch and Great company along the way.

I am looking forward to the next ride.
