The Arnold SIR Branch 152 was formed when the Murphys SIR Branch 140 became too large to hold lunch meetings in the venues available to them.  Many of the then members of the Murphys Branch lived in Arnold so it was only natural to establish a new Arnold Branch.

In November of 1988 the State SIR gave provisional authorization to meet in Arnold and to begin the process of Charter and incorporation. It was  not until July 21, 1989 that the Arnold Branch was fully chartered and incorporated.

At that time, the Branch enjoyed a membership of more than 150 retired gentlemen, with a large contingent of RV travelers.  A decline in membership began in 2000 with the disbanding of the RV travel group slowly making its way to a stable membership in the high 70’s.
A resurgence of interest and enthusiasm has sparked a recent rise in membership.  Membership is in excess of 100. Our lunch attendance reaches nearly 70%.  All indications tell us that we will continue to grow in the coming years.
In addition, the Branch has established new activity groups including bocce, racquetball, and an annual 9 hole golf tournament.
Arnold SIR meets the third Tuesday of each month with three special gatherings a year, our May Ladies Day Lunch, our July off site BBQ, and our December Dinner Dance.  In addition to great fellowship, a social hour, and a good meal, there are interesting and entertaining speakers at each lunch meeting.

Regular meetings are held on a monthly basis, usually the third Tuesday of the month. As the location changes on occasion it is recommended you visit the calendar page to confirm the location.
