About The SIR Organization

SIR is a non-profit, public benefit organization consisting of active, senior men. SIR has roughly 10,000 members in about 90 branches in Northern and Central California. SIR is not a philanthropic organization and does not have a political agenda or religious orientation. The main purpose of SIR is to provide opportunities to make friends and promote independence and dignity in retirement.  SIR Membership is open to men regardless of age, race, national origin or religion. Begun in 1958, SIR has thousands of members and branches in most areas of Central and Northern California.

In addition to golfing and bowling and various other activities, luncheon meetings are held at the Folsom Community Center, 52 Natoma St. Folsom, California.  See the Monthly Luncheons link below for the 2024 meeting dates.  Social Hour: 11:00 a.m.; lunch and program at noon. Executive Board meeting is on the same day at 10:00 a.m. Golfer's Meeting @ 11:00 a.m.
