We send out an email prior to each lunch to get a head count of attendees and determine your choice of entree. The cost for lunch is $35.
Each lunch is followed by a guest speaker. A few of our speakers in the past 12 months included:
- Jeff Burkhart, voted “best bartender” by the readers of three different publications and award-winning journalist (columnist and best-selling book author) discussed his experiences behind the bar.
- Paul Liberatori, long time publisher in the Marin I.J. spoke on the history of the Rock and Roll/ Music scene in Marin.
- Frank Falzon, highly decorated San Francisco Police Department inspector discussed his role in breaking the notorious Night Stalker case, investigations of the murders of San Francisco Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk, participated in the Zodiac, Zebra, and Juan Corona serial murder investigations. Duffy Jennings was a prize-winning reporter for the San Francisco Chronicle during the same period. Jennings wrote hundreds of bylined articles including the cases in which Mr. Falzon was deeply involved.
- Jason Balderama, the Chief Information Security Officer at the County of Marin spoke about cybersecurity.
- Dr. Harry Murphy, a speaker on Celebrity, Cunard, Holland America, Norwegian, Princess, and Royal Caribbean ships talked about the history of film.
- Matt Petri, a SIR Branch 22 member and two-time U.S. Olympic ski jumper spoke about his athletic career, ski jumping and the Winter Olympics.
