This
program is Branch 159's golf version
of the FedEx cup, where a player will earn points through his
tournament results. A player must be a SIR member in good
standing and hold a SIR 159 GHIN during the golf year (October 1 to
September 30).
At the end of the golf season,
the players with most points will be rewarded, as follows:
- Points
are earned during SIR branch
159 hosted tournaments or in any other designated tournament.
- 5,4,3,2, or 1 point(s) for
placing first thru fifth.
- Double
points are earned for
special
tournaments: Branch Individual or Team championships, Area 29
Qualifiers (Team
and Individual), any weekly tournament with a field exceeding
12 players in
the same flight or teams, and any other designated tournament.
There are several
competitions awarded:
- Most valuable INDIVIDUAL
Player - for the player with the most points earned during all
tournaments.
- Most ATTENDANCE - the 5
players with the most number of games played in total regardless of
results.
